Friends of Peanut Park is financed entirely by donations from induvial supporters.
Our biggest expense is the cost of a gardener and supplies for the summer months. Friends of Peanut Park contribute to maintaining the park in two key ways;
Annual contributions: It costs over $15,000 a year to plant and maintain the flower gardens. We need more than 60 supporters to contribute $250 yearly to make this possible! Donations of any amount are welcome help to pay the bills.
Any contribution of $25 more will qualify for a charitable donation receipt which is always helpful at income tax time!
Three ways to donate:
- Make out a cheque to the City of Winnipeg with a note that it is for Enderton (Peanut) Park. Be sure the cheque shows your name and address (including postal code) so they can issue a receipt and mail it to you. Please drop your cheque in Karen’s mail box at 98 Kingsway .
- Transfer money via Interac to friendsofpeanutpark@gmail.com. Again, include your name and address (including postal code) in the comments area so the City can issue a receipt and mail it to you.
- Make a donation to the Friends of Peanut Park fund at the Winnipeg foundation. See below…
A Foundation for the long term: In order to ensure that there will always be money to pay for upkeep, we have established a dedicated fund at the Winnipeg Foundation, the “Friends of Peanut Park Inc. Fund”. Contributions from Friends now add up to over $300,000 in capital. We are well on the way to our goal of creating a fund that generates enough yearly income to cover the costs of maintaining the park forever in the future.
If you would like to leave a gift to the park in your will, or if you would like to make a donation of $1,000 or more in cash or shares to this fund please contact the Winnipeg Foundation, or our FPP chairman, Nick Logan at 204.453.0590.
The Winnipeg foundation will provide a charitable donation receipt.
